RIPTIDE - In the belly of the Beast

    The hull groaned as the waves crashed and pressed into it, like a great beast moaning from a thorn in it's side. He couldn't see a thing in the dark room, devoid of any flame or light or window, but with the familiar sound of distant waves above, he knew that he was still aboard the ship. Which ship..? It was impossible to tell, this room smelled of Oak and dust. The planks beneath him were rough and neglected, threatening to splinter his bare feet as he leant back into the wall where his wrists were bound. He would be back again.. he'd not come by in a few days, and the dull ache of the bruises and the throb of his empty belly would remind him. He wouldn't let him die, wouldn't put him out of his misery.. No no, not yet. He was using him, he knew that already. He'd told him everything. What he was going to do, how he'd wanted to do it, why, etc. It was a sick game, and he was the centerpiece. Now it was only a matter of waiting.
